Save the Dogs and Dogs Trust Mobile Clinic projects would like to reach surrounding rural villages of Medgidia and Cernavoda (south-east of Romania) with a flexible veterinary service in order to spay and neuter dogs in the area where no other vet services are existent. The project will be developed from middle April 2015 to middle October. The idea is to make a social research to measure the impact (quantitative and qualitative) of this service in the area. Results of the 2015 field research show: that in the Constanta county percentage of households that own at least one pet dog is found between 82.32% and 88.57%; estimated number of households that own at least one pet dog is found between 9231 and 9932; estimated number of dogs found in the Constanta county lies between 16220 and 18430; the real percentage of neutered dogs in Constanta County lies between 8.41% and 14.67%.
