Mid-term review of the FIGAP Program (Fond for Implementation of Gender Action Plan Program) funded by the Embassy of Sweden/Swedish International Development Cooperation (SIDA), Austrian Development Agency/Embassy of Austria in Sarajevo and the Swiss development Cooperation/Embassy of Switzerland in Sarajevo. FIGAP Program was an attempt to create a framework for gender mainstreaming in order to enhance an effective implementation of the Gender Action Plan (GAP). The evaluation examined the progress made to date towards achieving program's aims and to contribute to strengthening gender institutional mechanisms; partner institutions and organisational capacities to undertake the implementation of the GAP; how the individual activities contribute to reaching the overall purpose of the FIGAP Program - to make gender mainstreaming ultimately functioning at all levels, from the community to the state level, leading to an improved level of gender equality in BiH. The mid term review was carried out in September and October 2011. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with 37 participants selected as suitable research sample.
